A month of photography for a cure A fundraiser for The American Cancer Society [Portraits] [Portfolio Building] [Fine Art Prints] [About the Studio/Directions] Members of the collective for Studio 5 South are shooting for a cause throughout the month of January and leading up to Valentine's Day in February. The collective members are giving a portion of the proceeds for all modeling and portrait sessions to the local unit of the American Cancer Society as a Valentine's Day present. The minimum donation for each portrait session or modeling test shoot is $400. The more a person donates the more goes to the American Cancer Society. Modeling sessions will receive a web-ready CD, portraits will be given a proof CD, and all images will be available for print through one of the city's finest digital printing facilities. Some collective members also have fine art photography prints for sale and a portion of those proceeds will go to the local unit of the American Cancer Society. We will contact you as soon as possible to confirm your date and time and to gather all the information necessary for the shoot. Portfolio session options: We know, new models don't have tons of money laying around, so for the model on a budget we offer two money saving options. One is to split the cost of a portfolio session with up to three models. This allows you to get one 'look' each in the normal amount of time for a multi look portfolio session. The other is to get the use of up to three of our photographers for a full day with as many as ten models for $1500. This full day experience will include several looks for each model, catered lunch, and photography by each of the three photographers selected. Click on a photo to order About Studio 5 South: Studio 5 South is a collective arrangement between seven founding members organized together by James Jackson to provide affordable studio and darkroom space to the members. We are located in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia at 3237 Amber Street. The neighborhood reminds us of SOHO in New York, before the buyout. The creative energy in the building is bustling and bursting and we are constantly inspired by our neighbors and the city we work in. Directions: From Center City: Take 95 north to the Allegheny Avenue exit. At the bottom of the ramp make a left hand turn on to Westmoreland Street. Proceed straight on Westmoreland and make a left on Collins Street. Make a right on Allegheny Avenue and an immediate right on Amber Street. The studio entrance is on the right hand side of the street before the stop sign and is marked 3237. From the North: Take Take 95 south to the Allegheny Avenue exit. At the bottom of the ramp make a right hand turn on to Allegheny Avenue. Proceed straight on Allegheny Avenue and make a right on Amber Street. From Central and Northern New Jersey: Take the NJ Turnpike to Exit 4 - 73 North - Camden/Philadelphia. Follow signs for the Betsy Ross Bridge/90 West.
